For the 50th year, The third castle sets up in the vaults of Palazzo della Corgna the Monumental Nativity, unique work which is divided into several rooms, in a figurative way through the underground corridors of the Palazzo della Corgna, for a total of 8 stanze e più di 500 square feet.
Each room is set up in detail by the volunteers of Terziere, working for about 3 months to its realization, combining tradition, craftsmanship and construction, thus creating a journey that carries the visitor through the ages of environments with visual and sound suggestions. Sono ormai più di un centinaio, The large statues made of papier-mâché, terracotta, resina e arricchite da splendidi dettagli, They were created specifically by Italian master craftsmen like Marcus Guttilla.
This year, the crib has been realized starting from the theme of religious divisions, hatred that becomes a wall between two gardens. No coincidence that the path starts by the attack of September 11 2001, a date that changed the world and who gave birth to bloody wars and terrorist attacks everywhere. In the name of a God and a religion, you can not sow hatred and destruction, on the contrary in the name of God, whatever God can only love…because only love can save us. Un messaggio di pace e di speranza per l’umanità, that the volunteers of the third castle wanted to recreate the charm of the Monumental Nativity 2016.
On the anniversary, an exhibition will tell the story of the nativity scene through the images of the various editions.
Like in 2015, The third castle will donate part of the proceeds of the ticket to the Committee for Life '' Daniele Chianelli '' of Perugia, Associazione Onlus per la Ricerca delle Leucemie, Lymphomas and tumors of Adults and Children and to the earthquake victims in central Italy. In the traditional market of the Nativity will find the works in ceramics / pottery artists Association of Laboratory Terrarte of Città della Pieve.
I visitatori del Presepe potranno poi proseguire la visita al Museo del Terziere, ubicato sempre a Palazzo Corgna ai piani superiori, where they are exposed 50 year history of the Nativity, customs and works of Terziere. www.centroespositivocastello.it
